Luke 6:38 Foundation NPC (2015/441826/08) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation founded on the biblical scripture Luke 6 verse 38 "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you", and the principle of Ubuntu "I am because we are". The Foundation feeds, clothes and obtains employment for many impoverished families in KwaZulu Natal, and more recently, in Gauteng.

We aim to occupy the nations and remind people that God still knows their name.

 

The Foundation was established in early 2014 by the founding servant Khanyi Zungu. The members of the Foundation canvassed for donations to feed and clothe a number of households in the township of Chesterville in Durban (many of which were child-headed homes) whilst procuring employment and/or tertiary funding for the family members of the respective homes.

 

Subsequently, the Foundation organised and executed a number of social welfare outreaches in the Ngaphezulu area (kwaQanda) outside the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg, Esimozomeni area in the town of Richmond and more recently, in  Alexandra township in Johannesburg. The foundation predominantly operates in KwaZulu Natal but is spreading its wings to Gauteng and one day aims to operate in every province of South Africa and subsequently Africa.
